How To Grant GTMA Meta Access

Managing Meta(FB/IG) Acesss

Please Note: These instructions require you to have admin/ownership access to your FB page within a Meta Business Portfolio. Also, GTMA needs your team to connect your IG and FB accounts within your Meta Business Settings for our paid and organic social media services to publish, as we cannot connect the two from our side.

Adding GTMA to your FB Page(s)

There are several ways to gain or grant access to a Facebook Page, but the one that GTMA finds works best for both parties is your team assigning us access to the page by adding us as a Partner within your Meta Business Portfolio.

To allow GTMA/EvernodeAI to manage these assets, follow these steps within your Meta Business Portfolio:

  • In Business Settings, click Partners on the left.
  • Click Add > "Give a partner access to your assets."
  • Enter GTMA’s Partner ID: 716818398403147
  • Select the Page, Ad Account, and Instagram Account, toggle on "Full Control" or "Manage" permissions, and click Save Changes.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re done!

The page will automatically be added to our business portfolio, and you’ve still retained ownership of the pages.

FYI: This process also works if your team is trying to gain access to a page in another organization’s business portfolio. Simply provide them your Business Portfolio ID in place of ours with the above instructions.

You can find your ID under the Business Info section of your Meta Business Portfolio Settings page and have them follow the above instructions.

Removing Access / Transferring Ownership

To transfer ownership, the current owner must grant your team full control over the page and then either remove themselves or be removed from the page while the new owner has control of the page within their business portfolio.

In the event of a change in ownership or management, it’s best practice to remove the previous party from the page once you’ve gained control of it within your business portfolio.

In the left sidebar, under Accounts, go to Pages.

  • Select the name of the page from the list.
  • In the top right-hand corner, you will see a Remove.

You will then receive a confirmation prompt to either confirm the page removal or to disconnect the IG account from the Facebook Page.

If you have access to manage the Page, go to Connected Assets to disconnect it and then try again.

Removing a Partner’s access to a Facebook page is much like the processes above.

  • Go to Business Settings.
  • In the left sidebar, under Users, go to Partners.
  • Select the name of the agency/partner from the list.
  • In the main window, you will see a list of assets they have access to. You have two choices:
    • To remove them from everything: Click the Remove button in the top right corner of the partner’s profile. This severs the connection entirely.
    • To remove them from one specific Page: Hover over the Page name in their asset list and click the Trash Can icon or the X.
